information

My most recent achievements include a BA in English Literature with Creative Writing from UEA and the Snoo Wilson Prize for Scriptwriting, for my historical fiction Scriptwriting Dissertation, a 'rollicking romp' about the first paid woman playwright in England, Aphra Behn.

I began my career proofreading Ofsted reports in 2001, with Cambridge Education Associates (CEA). I enjoyed it so much I went on to qualify as a proofreader in March 2008, and as a copy-editor in October 2013. I took both courses with The Publishing Training Centre, London. This is my profile page.

As a refresher, I completed the SfEP course Introduction to proofreading at the University of London, 2013.

I was an Intermediate Member (IM) of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP). I set up and ran the SfEP Cambridge local group as a volunteer local group coordinator. The group is still running seven years on, but the institution has undergone a name change to the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).
